Lotus Republic Project

Project Overview:

Chevelle Contractors played a pivotal role in the Lotus Republic project, primarily focusing on the wood framing phase. The project commenced in early December 2022 and was completed in late March 2023, encompassing a total framed square footage of 69,260 square feet. Given the constraints of the limited onsite space, Chevelle adopted an innovative approach to ensure the efficient and successful execution of their work.

Scope of Work:

Chevelle’s involvement in the Lotus Republic project was centered around comprehensive wood framing. The framing process was carried out in three key phases to accommodate the spatial limitations and logistical challenges presented by the site:

Exterior Wall Framing: An 8-man wall standing crew was responsible for constructing and positioning the exterior walls directly on site. This team meticulously assembled the walls to create the building’s structural framework.
Interior Wall Prefabrication: Due to the tight space constraints, a 3-man prefab crew focused on constructing interior walls within the parking garage area. These prefabricated walls were subsequently hoisted into place in bundles after the exterior walls were erected.
Floor Framing: An additional 8-man crew was dedicated to floor framing, working sequentially after the exterior wall crew. This team ensured the proper installation of floor structures to support the subsequent phases of construction.

Challenges and Solutions:

The project presented significant challenges due to the limited space available on site. To address these challenges, Chevelle implemented a strategic approach involving multiple specialized crews. This method not only facilitated efficient workflow but also ensured that all framing tasks were completed within the project timeline. By leveraging their expertise and adapting to the site conditions, Chevelle successfully met the project requirements and contributed to the overall success of the Lotus Republic development.
