Framing Designer Qualifications:
- Organized, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of wood framing construction processes.
- Ability to read preliminary drawings and architectural plans to determine framing needs for multi-family, hospitality, student housing, commercial, and custom home construction.
- Proficiency in 3-D Modeling/CAD design.
- Experience with excel, plan swift, procore, blue beam.
- 2 years of relevant experience minimum
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with engineers to create, update, and revise construction drawings.
- Prepare comprehensive plans, schedules, and other details for structural construction documents, including modeling, detailing, documenting, and verifying structural drawings.
- Estimate materials needed.
- Create 3-D models which show the relationship between components and parts in order to pinpoint dimensions, design requirements, tolerances, and materials.
- Analyze the effect of proposed changes to ensure proper fit; modify drawings as required.
- Maintain an open line of communication with structural engineering staff and other team members assigned to the project.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Pay and Benefits:
- Annual salary of $75,000 and up depending on experience.
